The rationale behind my selected teaching strategy is based on the fact that through active involvement of students in small groups and lecture method, the students get to concentrate more. Their direct input and contributions in their allocated groups will actively involve them in learning more things and concentrate for a longer time. Through the test questions, I will be able to identify individuals with learning differences and help the students with slow learning characters by following up with them and aiding them where possible. I will support such students by putting them in groups with fast learners so that they may receive help and assistance from their fellow classmates too. The written assignment rubric will be as follows:
Over 80%- well defined and vividly explained terms, well laid down objectives and importance of nursing standards of practice with examples and clearly outlined and well explained nursing standards of practice
60%-79%- clearly defined terms, objectives without clear description of nursing standards of practice
40%-59%- fairly described definition of terms without clear examples and listing of nursing standards of practice without descriptions
30% and below- poor definitions without clarity and listing of wrong standards of practice
