Levels of Achievement
Criteria Explanation
Thesis/Introduction 10 Points
The assignment has a clear thesis which addresses all parts of the topic
Analysis 30 Points
Development of each of the introduction's thesis points; focused treatment of the essay question. Analysis is detailed, understandable and accurate.
Evidence 30 Points
Citation of specific historical events/developments to support analysis. Reference to footnoted and/or cited sources.
Grammar/Organization 20 Points
Proper paragraph organization for the essay with correct style usage.
Conclusion 10 Points
Short summation of paper.
