Description
Mammography is the early screening and diagnosis of breast cancer in women. Over the past few years, cases of breast cancer have been on the rise and it is necessary for the matter to be addressed. It is proposed that a mobile mammography unit is introduced so that it can increase access to healthcare services. Patients do not have to travel to hospital, instead, a mammography van will be moving into the community and making stops at strategic areas so that it can provide services to those who need them.
Impact of the quality of care
The proposed unit will use state-of-the-art machinery and equipment to perform the detection and diagnosis of the disease. There have been technological advancements in the healthcare field and this has led to the invention of high-quality tools and equipment (Hopewood & Milroy, 2018). The facilities to be used in this project will be designed using the latest technology so that best services are provided to women in the community. The machines operate with a high level of efficiency and effectiveness ensuring patients get the best quality services. With such high-quality services, the project is expected to serve the purpose for which it is intended.
Impact on availability of care
Healthcare is a basic need considering the impact that it has in the community. Different healthcare services should be made available to those who need them (Veronisi & Goldhirsch, 2017). In this project, mammography services will be increased in the community thereby being available to all in need. A survey will be conducted to determine the exact population that the project is expected to serve. Sufficient equipment will be provided to ensure the services are available for all (Levit & Nass, 2014). For a healthcare service to be available, sufficient units of equipment should be procured.
Impact on accessibility of care
Usually, it is the patient who travels to a healthcare facility to seek for services. However, in the proposed project, the services will be moved closer to the patients since vans and tracked will be used to move within the community. This will make the services more accessible to more people. There are many patients who cannot access healthcare services because of the distance to healthcare facilities among other reasons. With the introduction of mobile mammography services, accessibility will be highly increased to make sure every patient is in a position to access the services (Lee, 2017). The ministry of health should ensure health services are accessed by everyone.
Affordability of care
When there are many providers of a service, clients have a wide variety of options to choose from. This prompts service providers to lower their charges so as to attract clients. This makes the services more affordable. In this case, there will be hundreds of units offering mobile mammography. This will increase the number of units that provide healthcare and the services will be affordable because of the competition between different service providers (Whitman & Haygood, 2012). In most cases, organizations set prices depending on the number of competitors. When there are more competitors, prices drop, and vice versa.

Using the feasibility study outlined in the Daniels and Dickson (1990) article as a model, and including a minimum of six other scholarly sources, create a 12- to 15-page feasibility study that includes the following headings and supporting information: Evaluating Feasibility The concept of a feasibility study is central to viability, the “worth to the effort” ratio, and return on investment (ROI). What needs to be taken into consideration to create a feasibility study (e.g., human resources, community needs, and technological advances, federal and state regulatory issues)? Within this section, you will research and design an economical health care service that is responsive to a given market. Finally, evaluate how your study will respond to market and design models that impact the community based on current regulatory and market needs.
